Difference
In 2008, HERO BX Erie, and in 2017, HERO BX Alabama, achieved BQ-9000 accreditation from the National Biodiesel Accreditation Commission after passing a rigorous review and inspection of its quality control process. HERO BX boasts state of the art, on-site laboratories to ensure adherence to the strict biodiesel specification of ASTM D6751.
In early 2017, HERO BX took its commitment to quality one step further in announcing a partnership in the Bioheat® program. The HERO BX Branded Bioheat® Program offers heating oil retailers the opportunity to carry the HERO BX brand and supporting technical and marketing benefits in exchange for Bioheat® supply. The first dealer signed to the program was Dover, New Hampshire, headquartered D. F. Richard Energy and to jumpstart the program, HERO BX leased a 5,000 barrel storage facility in North Hampton, New Hampshire. HERO BX invested in the infrastructure that allows for biodiesel/heating oil rack blends from B2 through B80, allowing branded retails dealers an automated solution for Bioheat® supply and distribution.

HBX 1000
HBX-1000 can be used as a middle distillate blend stock or in its neat form as diesel fuel or heating oil. It carries excellent cold weather and combustion properties helping the refinished fuel meet fungible, terminal and ASTM specifications.
Note: Both HBX-1000 and HBX-3000 enable finished diesel and heating oils to meet ASTM D396.
